Solios

The Montreal-based company is the only B-Corp certified watch company in the world thanks to its sustainability initiatives and solar-power technology. (With Solios, there’s no need for batteries since their watches charge throughout the day. In fact, each watch has six months of energy reserve after just two hours of light exposure – which means it will charge for decades to come.) But there’s no need to compromise style for one’s personal values. Solios’s sleek designs are timeless and beautifully crafted – like The Solar Blue, which features eco vegan leather with a rose gold case and recycled stainless steel. The design benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s work to fulfill the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Additionally, for each watch sold, Solios will restore one acre of rainforest. Philanthropic, fashionable, and accessibly priced, Solios is one of our favorite new brands out there.

While the company has long sourced stones and metals from clients, the certification provides additional proof that Starling is one of the few legitimately sustainable jewelry brands out there. The piece’s sundial charm design is engraved with the words “et tourné pourtant elle,” which translates to “and yet she turns.” Wilde and Burchfield are donating their portion of the design’s profits to the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti, which provides aid for third wave COVID, internal refugee violence, and earthquake relief.
