The Retaility takes a look at people’s lives and the things with which they surround themselves. Our stories and imagery combine fantasy and reality; escapism and the daily grind; the beauty and the bruises.

Founded by Lindzi Scharf with photography by a variety of L.A.-based talent, The Retaility was created with the belief that an aspirational lifestyle shouldn’t be limited to what you own — it should relate to the life you lead and the challenges you overcame to be who and where you are today.

Lindzi Scharf is a writer, producer, and essayist whose work has appeared within the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Today Show, L.A. Magazine, WWD, InStyle, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair Italia, Entertainment Weekly, and C Magazine. She is also the proud mother of @evanfluencer and received an Honorable Mention in memoirist Vivian Gornick’s “Best American Essays 2023” anthology for her L.A. Times piece about her daughter.
